Wakestock main tent Blenheim Palace

With Wakestock now having a second and new venue how would the event compare with the Abrsoch site considering the clash with two other major festivals; one being Glastonbury.

Well with two events back to back the guys at Wakestock were going to have their work cut out. Would it be possible to put on another event away from Abersoch that created the same sort of enthusiasm and energy that has made Wakestock what it is.

We needn't have worried. Despite clashing with two other major festivals ...one being Glastonbury Wakestock still managed to pull in a good crowd in a place where people dont know what Wakestock is about. With good crowds down by the lake, and quite a few even braving the rain, the boarders had plenty of encouragement.

With the stunning Blenheim Palace as the backdrop Wakestock had found a place to rival the raw beauty of North Wales.

With the event now expanding not only to a new site but also to an extra day Wakestock now has 6 days of unrivaled action and music allowing it to claim the title of being the biggest wakeboard and music festival in Europe.  With a massive array of bands and music with some of this years top acts Wakestock is not a wannabe festival. With bands like Supergrass, Mark Ronson, Happy Mondays Pendulum, Groove Armarda and the Streets the line up is comparable to many of the bigger festivals around the country.

With some of the top riders in the world travelling to compete at Wakestock the blend of action and music keeps the crowds on their toes.

With the usual displays from the Vans Rocco pool gap and the vans skate and BMX team, along with areas to sit and enjoy a cool drink or a bite to eat, Wakestock has certainly got something for everyone.

We will post a full Wakestock report and galleries later but for now its back to the grind as we set of for part two of WAKESTOCK
